I want to be able to display how an individual (in this case, a teenager) can become so numb to their life. They go through the same routine, same steps everyday, that eventually they get so tired of their own life. In my project my character always shows their backs to the camera and only has a mask on to portray how they do not live through their authentic self, but through a different identity. Facing their backs to the camera reveals how isolated they feel and is afraid to reach out for mental help until towards the end of the video someone “reaches out”. Sometimes the people around us hides themselves to cope with their lonely reality. If you sense something wrong with your peer, reach out, comfort, and help one another. It makes an impact.
