Small Steps Matter

by

This film is a heartfelt portrayal of what it feels like to carry overwhelming emotions in silence. Centered on a young person navigating deep sadness, numbness, and self-doubt, it explores mental health in a way that is both personal and universally relatable. I chose the mental health category because everyone has mental health, and everyone goes through something at least once in their life yet it’s still not talked about enough. Through the main character’s journey, the film shows that feeling heavy emotions does not make you weak it makes you human. By using grounding techniques and taking small, intentional steps forward, the story emphasizes that healing doesn’t happen all at once. You don’t have to fix everything today progress can be quiet and slow. In the end, the message is simple but powerful your feelings are valid, small steps matter, and you are never alone.
