Trainings
When schools and communities have the training, tools, and procedures they need to promote mental health and facilitate healing, belonging, and help-seeking, then more young people feel seen, heard, and safe to reach out for help. All of our training modules are designed for districts, schools, and organizations to build capacity in advancing suicide prevention practices in school and community settings. Implementing Comprehensive Suicide Prevention Policies: Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention:
This full day workshop will introduce attendees with the requirements for suicide prevention policies established by AB2246/1767 and other legislation, and assist attendees with strategic planning for how to meet the requirements in the areas of staff training, assessment and intervention, postvention and youth engagement.
Postvention: Responding Effectively After Suicide Deaths and Attempts:
This full-day interactive workshop will focus on preparing your school/district to respond effectively after a suicide death or attempt.
Risk Assessment and Continuum of Care:
This full-day interactive workshop will support districts in rolling out effective and consistent suicide risk assessments across campuses.
How to Select and Implement Effective Youth Education and Engagement Programs:
This half-day interactive workshop will support districts in selecting and rolling out effective education and engagement suicide prevention programs.
Suicide Prevention 101 for Parents:
This 90-minute workshop will prepare parents to recognize warning signs for suicide and discuss what to do if they are concerned about their child.
