Our short film, “The Sweet Escape,” is us attempting to bring awareness of the dangers of drug use, and in this case, we tried portraying substances as a candy with the intention of showing just how much it could truly be dangerous. The main character in this short film is shown receiving bad grades, and therefore she turns to what she thinks might be a solution, substance use, but we don’t just want to say that drugs are bad, we are trying to give the message that before anything were to happen, that you should reach out to someone for help, not harm.
