Wasted Time

In my film “Wasted Time,” we witness a teenage boy sitting in his kitchen, eating a simple bowl of cereal. Suddenly, his friend sends him a text, saying that he had arrived at the boys house. The boy leaves the scene, and though it’s not explicitly shown, his departure implicates him taking substances from the character who had arrived. As the main character returns to the screen, the visuals become slightly blurry and disjointed, illustrating his involvement in these substances. The film then transitions into a montage that showcases the time the main character wastes. He neglects his homework and spends the night unproductively, demonstrating the damaging effects of substance use on his life. The film concludes with a poignant quote that emphasizes the significance of making the most of our limited time.
