“Nai Nai” is my ode to my grandmother, who had only a 2nd grade education, yet ran her own restaurant and taught me a hero is someone who does the right thing in the dark. Although our relationship was both both love and lightning, I made this film as a tribute to her love because the road to joy comes from learning to turn pain into beauty.
