Signs of suicide aren’t always linear—one may feel sad, irritable, or empty inside. These feelings can manifest, feeling like a pile of leaves overwhelmingly accumulating, a thicket of vines poking and prodding, or an impermeable wall of dense weeds growing so that you can’t see even two steps ahead. Although these mental health struggles can be a lot to bear alone, consistent help from not just one person, but a deep and connected support system can help us make it through. We can turn over a new leaf.
