Blooming In Desolation

The film follows the main character, Parker, as played by Tristan Salgado, who travels through a series of flashbacks of unpleasant memories after being pushed by a fellow friend and teammate, Jaiden, played by Tee Ngaluola, during basketball practice. Jaiden notices Parker’s sudden change in behavior and makes an effort to reach out to uncover the truth behind why Parker is acting so strange. The two friends share a moment in Parker’s car to ease the atmosphere. Parker reveals his past struggles with substance use and opens up about his current situation, explaining how he feels an urge to go back to his old ways. Jaiden listens to Parker, sharing his own personal experiences and giving advice in order for Parker to feel seen. The film ends with Jaiden telling Parker, “I love you,” to show that he sympathizes with him and will be there to support him through a difficult time in his life.
