Bittersweet follows the journey of a teenage girl through substance use and addiction. Her personal struggles lead her to indulge in substances, represented through passion fruit, while having the perception that it isn’t that harmful. In an attempt to numb her situation, she gets tangled in the vines. She continues to hold on to the fruit, believing it to be an exit for her entanglement. It’s not until a friend reaches out to help that she can escape and recover.
