Suicide Support

by

Our submission takes place in a school setting where classmates are sitting together and having conversation amongst each other. Their friend, Victor, enters the classroom and sits by themself which caught the attention of the group of friends who recognized him. They notice his self-alienation and have a brief conversation about their observations. At first they brush off the seriousness of the situation but then decide to talk to him and see if he’s okay. Amy approaches Victor and uses open dialogue and non-judgemental language to create a safe space for Victor to express himself. He goes on to admit he’s been overwhelmed and doesn’t want to do it anymore, implying he has no will to live. Amy then invites Victor to share more and at the end, invites Victor to get boba to not feel like he’s alone. He is indeed with friends who want to see him better. The video ends with providing the 9-8-8 hotline to seek help with suicide.
